1 Perché le genti congiurano
perché invano cospirano i popoli?
2 Insorgono i re della terra
e i principi congiurano insieme
contro il Signore e contro il suo Messia
3 “Spezziamo le loro catene,
gettiamo via i loro legami”.
4 Se ne ride chi abita i cieli,
li schernisce dall’alto il Signore.
5 Egli parla loro con ira,
li spaventa nel suo sdegno
6 “Io l’ho costituito mio sovrano
sul Sion mio santo monte”.
7 Annunzierò il decreto del Signore.
Egli mi ha detto “Tu sei mio figlio,
io oggi ti ho generato.
8 Chiedi a me, ti darò in possesso le genti
e in dominio i confini della terra.
9 Le spezzerai con scettro di ferro,
come vasi di argilla le frantumerai”.
10 E ora, sovrani, siate saggi
istruitevi, giudici della terra;
11 servite Dio con timore
e con tremore esultate;
12 che non si sdegni e voi perdiate la via.
Improvvisa divampa la sua ira.
Beato chi in lui si rifugia.

2 The kings of the earth rise up
and the princes conspire together
against the Lord and against his Messiah
3 “Let us break their chains,
let us throw away their bonds ”.
4 He who dwells in the heavens laughs,

5 He speaks to them in anger,

6 “I made him my sovereign

7 I will declare the decree of the Lord.
He said to me “You are my son,
today I have generated you.
8 Ask me, I will give you the nations to possess
and the ends of the earth in dominion.
9 You will break them with an iron scepter,
like clay vessels you will shatter them ”.
10 And now, rulers, be wise
educate yourselves, judges of the earth;
11 serve God with fear
and with trembling you rejoice;
12 that he is not indignant and you lose your way.
Suddenly his anger flares up

Commentary on the video: the first 5 verses of the psalm are told by the harmonies of unprecedented violence and vehemence of the “Perpetuum Mobile, Allegro” of the Sonata in Sol Major. by Ravel; the violin and the piano sing with fury:

but the spectacular, exultant “Allegro Assai” of Bach’s Concerto in D min “for concerted violin, 2 violins, one viola obligato and basso continuo”, sings joyfully:
7 I will declare the decree of the Lord. He told me: «You are my son, today I have begotten you. 8 Ask me, I will give you the nations as your possessions and the ends of the earth as dominion. 9 You will break them with an iron scepter, like clay vessels you will shatter them.
Commento al filmato: i primi 5 versetti del salmo, sono raccontati dalle armonie di inaudita violenza e veemenza del “Perpetuum Mobile, Allegro” della Sonata in Sol Magg . di Ravel; il Violino e il Pianoforte cantano con furia:

ma lo spettacolare, esultante “Allegro Assai” del Concerto in Re min di Bach “a violino concertato, 2 violini, una viola obbligati e basso continuo”, canta gioioso:
