La confessione libera dal peccato

Beato l’uomo a cui è rimessa la colpa,
e perdonato il peccato.
[2]Beato l’uomo a cui Dio non imputa alcun male
e nel cui spirito non è inganno.
[3]Tacevo e si logoravano le mie ossa,
mentre gemevo tutto il giorno.
[4]Giorno e notte pesava su di me la tua mano,
come per arsura d’estate inaridiva il mio vigore.
[5]Ti ho manifestato il mio peccato,
non ho tenuto nascosto il mio errore.
Ho detto: «Confesserò al Signore le mie colpe»
e tu hai rimesso la malizia del mio peccato.
[6]Per questo ti prega ogni fedele
nel tempo dell’angoscia.
Quando irromperanno grandi acque
non lo potranno raggiungere.
[7]Tu sei il mio rifugio, mi preservi dal pericolo,
mi circondi di esultanza per la salvezza.
[8]Ti farò saggio, t’indicherò la via da seguire;
con gli occhi su di te, ti darò consiglio.
[9]Non siate come il cavallo e come il mulo
privi d’intelligenza;
si piega la loro fierezza con morso e briglie,
se no, a te non si avvicinano.
[10]Molti saranno i dolori dell’empio,
ma la grazia circonda chi confida nel Signore.
[11]Gioite nel Signore ed esultate, giusti,
giubilate, voi tutti, retti di cuore.

Confession frees from sin
[1] Of David. Maskil. Blessed is the man whose guilt is forgiven, and sin forgiven. [2] Blessed is the man to whom God does not impute any evil and in whose spirit there is no deception. [3] I kept silent and my bones wore out, as I moaned all day. [4] Day and night your hand weighed on me, as in the heat of summer my strength withered. [5] I have shown you my sin, I didn’t hide my mistake. I said: “I will confess my sins to the Lord” and you have forgiven the malice of my sin. [6] For this every believer prays to you in the time of anguish. When great waters break out they will not be able to reach it. [7] You are my refuge, you keep me from danger, you surround me with exultation for salvation. [8] I will make you wise, I will show you the way to follow; with eyes on you, I’ll give you advice. [9] Do not be like the horse and the mule devoid of intelligence; their pride is bent with bit and bridle, if not, they don’t come close to you. [10] Many will be the pains of the wicked, but grace surrounds those who trust in the Lord. [11] Rejoice in the Lord and rejoice, you just, rejoice, all of you who are upright in heart.
Commento al filmato: Questo è un salmo che celebre la gioia per il perdono del peccato; la luminosa Sonata in La min di César Franck, nei suo tempi Recitativo-Fantasia-Moderato-Molto Lento, ne fa un racconto appassionato, gioioso ricco di armonie affascinanti; lo splendido dialogo dell Pianoforte con il violino, si chiude dolcissimo quasi misterioso sugli ultimi versetti:
Molti saranno i dolori dell’empio, ma la grazia circonda chi confida nel Signore. Gioite nel Signore ed esultate, giusti, giubilate, voi tutti, retti di cuore
Commentary on the video: This is a psalm that celebrates the joy of the forgiveness of sin; the luminous Sonata in A min by César Franck, in its Recitative-Fantasy-Moderate-Very Slow tempos, makes it a passionate, joyful tale full of fascinating harmonies; the splendid dialogue of the Piano minted violin closes very sweetly and almost mysteriously on the last verses:
Many will be the pains of the wicked, but grace surrounds those who trust in the Lord. Rejoice in the Lord and rejoice, just, rejoice, all of you upright in heart
