23 (22) Il buon pastore
1 Salmo. Di Davide.
Il Signore è il mio pastore
non manco di nulla;
2 su pascoli erbosi mi fa riposare
ad acque tranquille mi conduce.
3 Mi rinfranca, mi guida
per il giusto cammino, per amore del suo nome.
4 Se dovessi camminare in una valle oscura,
non temerei alcun male,
perché tu sei con me.
Il tuo bastone e il tuo vincastro
mi danno sicurezza.
5 Davanti a me tu prepari una mensa
sotto gli occhi dei miei nemici;
cospargi di olio il mio capo.
Il mio calice trabocca.
6 Felicità e grazia mi saranno compagne
tutti i giorni della mia vita,
e abiterò nella casa del Signore
per lunghissimi anni.

I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff comfort me.

in front of my enemies;*
You anoint my head with oil;*d

Commento al filmato: in questo splendido tempo “Largo-Presto-Largo” del Concerto “La Notte” di Vivaldi, anche noi cantiamo con il salmista un canto di contemplazione:
«Abiterò per sempre nella casa del Signore.»
Le note del Flauto e dell’Orchestra si fanno spumeggianti quando il salmista canta:
«Davanti a me tu prepari una mensa sotto gli occhi dei miei nemici;»
per poi esprimersi con grande dolcezza nel versetto finale:
«Felicità e grazia mi saranno compagne tutti i giorni della mia vita, e abiterò nella casa del Signore per lunghissimi anni.»
Commentary on the film: in this splendid time “Largo-Presto-Largo” of the Concerto “La Notte” by Vivaldi, we too sing a song of contemplation with the psalmist:
“I will live forever in the house of the Lord.”
The notes of the flute and orchestra become bubbly when the psalmist sings:
“You prepare a table in front of me under the eyes of my enemies;”
to then express himself with great sweetness in the final verse:
“Happiness and grace will be my companions all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord for very long years.”
