Salmi – Capitolo 81
Per la festa delle capanne
[1]Al maestro del coro. Su «I torchi…». Di Asaf.
[2]Esultate in Dio, nostra forza,
acclamate al Dio di Giacobbe.
[3]Intonate il canto e suonate il timpano,
la cetra melodiosa con l’arpa.
[4]Suonate la tromba
nel plenilunio, nostro giorno di festa.
[5]Questa è una legge per Israele,
un decreto del Dio di Giacobbe.
[6]Lo ha dato come testimonianza a Giuseppe,
quando usciva dal paese d’Egitto.
Un linguaggio mai inteso io sento:
[7]«Ho liberato dal peso la sua spalla,
le sue mani hanno deposto la cesta.
[8]Hai gridato a me nell’angoscia
e io ti ho liberato,
avvolto nella nube ti ho dato risposta,
ti ho messo alla prova alle acque di Meriba.
[9]Ascolta, popolo mio, ti voglio ammonire;
Israele, se tu mi ascoltassi!
[10]Non ci sia in mezzo a te un altro dio
e non prostrarti a un dio straniero.
[11]Sono io il Signore tuo Dio,
che ti ho fatto uscire dal paese d’Egitto;
apri la tua bocca, la voglio riempire.
[12]Ma il mio popolo non ha ascoltato la mia voce, Israele non mi ha obbedito.
[13]L’ho abbandonato alla durezza del suo cuore,
che seguisse il proprio consiglio.
[14]Se il mio popolo mi ascoltasse,
se Israele camminasse per le mie vie!
[15]Subito piegherei i suoi nemici
e contro i suoi avversari porterei la mia mano.
[16]I nemici del Signore gli sarebbero sottomessi
e la loro sorte sarebbe segnata per sempre;
[17]li nutrirei con fiore di frumento,
li sazierei con miele di roccia».

1 Sing for joy to God our strength;
shout aloud to the God of Jacob!
2 Begin the music, strike the timbrel,
play the melodious harp and lyre.
3 Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon,
and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival;
4 this is a decree for Israel,
an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
5 When God went out against Egypt,
he established it as a statute for Joseph.
I heard an unknown voice say:
6 “I removed the burden from their shoulders;
their hands were set free from the basket.
7 In your distress you called and I rescued you,
I answered you out of a thundercloud;
I tested you at the waters of Meribah.c]
8 Hear me, my people, and I will warn you—
if you would only listen to me, Israel!
9 You shall have no foreign god among you;
you shall not worship any god other than me.
10 I am the Lord your God,
who brought you up out of Egypt.
Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.
11 “But my people would not listen to me;
Israel would not submit to me.
12 So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts
to follow their own devices.
13 “If my people would only listen to me,
if Israel would only follow my ways,
14 how quickly I would subdue their enemies
and turn my hand against their foes!
15 Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him,
and their punishment would last forever.
16 But you would be fed with the finest of wheat;
with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”
Commento al filmato: Questo straordinario Salmo “per la Festa delle Capanne”, è cantato da un “Allegro” di stupefacente bellezza dal Concerto in Fa magg. di Vivaldi; i due Corni solisti si impegnano in un dialogo di incredibile solennità con l’Orchestra per cantare:
[2]Esultate in Dio, nostra forza, acclamate al Dio di Giacobbe. [3]Intonate il canto e suonate il timpano, la cetra melodiosa con l’arpa. [4]Suonate la tromba nel plenilunio, nostro giorno di festa……[11]Sono io il Signore tuo Dio, che ti ho fatto uscire dal paese d’Egitto; apri la tua bocca, la voglio riempire.
dal versetto 12, in un “Lento” di emozionante bellezza dal Concerto in Re M di Vivaldi, le note struggenti della Tromba cantano:
[12]Ma il mio popolo non ha ascoltato la mia voce, Israele non mi ha obbedito. [13]L’ho abbandonato alla durezza del suo cuore, che seguisse il proprio consiglio. [14]Se il mio popolo mi ascoltasse, se Israele camminasse per le mie vie!
Infine, dal versetto 15, in uno spumegiante “Presto” dalla Sinfonia in Re Magg. di Mozart le note travolgenti dell’Orchestra cantano con toni esultanti:
[15]Subito piegherei i suoi nemicie contro i suoi avversari porterei la mia mano. [16]I nemici del Signore gli sarebbero sottomessi e la loro sorte sarebbe segnata per sempre; [17]li nutrirei con fiore di frumento, li sazierei con miele di roccia».

Commentary on the film: This extraordinary Psalm “for the Feast of Capanne” is sung by an amazingly beautiful “Allegro” from the Concerto in F major. by Vivaldi; the two solo horns engage in an incredibly solemn dialogue with the orchestra to sing:
[2] Rejoice in God our strength, acclaim to the God of Jacob. [3] Tune the song and play the tympanum, the melodious zither with the harp. [4] Blow the trumpet on the full moon, our feast day …… [11] I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth, I want to fill it.
from verse 12, in a “Lento” of moving beauty from Vivaldi’s Concerto in D M, the poignant notes of the trumpet sing:
[12] But my people did not listen to my voice, Israel did not obey me. [13] I abandoned him to the hardness of his heart, that he would follow his own advice. [14] If my people would listen to me, if Israel walked in my ways!
Finally, from verse 15, in a sparkling “Presto” from Mozart’s Symphony in D Major, the overwhelming notes of the Orchestra sing with exultant tones:
[15] Immediately I would bend his enemies, and against his adversaries I would bring my hand. [16] The enemies of the Lord would be subjected to him and their lot would be sealed forever; [17] I would feed them with the flower of wheat, I would satisfy them with rock honey.
