Salmi – Capitolo 146
Inno al Dio che soccorre
[1]Alleluia.
Loda il Signore, anima mia:
[2]loderò il Signore per tutta la mia vita,
finché vivo canterò inni al mio Dio.
[3]Non confidate nei potenti,
in un uomo che non può salvare.
[4]Esala lo spirito e ritorna alla terra;
in quel giorno svaniscono tutti i suoi disegni.
[5]Beato chi ha per aiuto il Dio di Giacobbe,
chi spera nel Signore suo Dio,
[6]creatore del cielo e della terra,
del mare e di quanto contiene.
Egli è fedele per sempre,
[7]rende giustizia agli oppressi,
dà il pane agli affamati.
Il Signore libera i prigionieri,
[8]il Signore ridona la vista ai ciechi,
il Signore rialza chi è caduto,
il Signore ama i giusti,
[9]il Signore protegge lo straniero,
egli sostiene l’orfano e la vedova,
ma sconvolge le vie degli empi.
[10]Il Signore regna per sempre,
il tuo Dio, o Sion, per ogni generazione.
Psalm 146
1 Praise the Lord.[a]
Praise the Lord, my soul.
2 I will praise the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
3 Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
4 When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
on that very day their plans come to nothing.
5 Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord their God.
6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them—
he remains faithful forever.
7 He upholds the cause of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free,
8 the Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous.
9 The Lord watches over the foreigner
and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
10 The Lord reigns forever,
your God, O Zion, for all generations.
Praise the Lord.
Commento al filmato: sono di una bellezza carica di mistero le note dell’Organo nel dolcissimo “Adagio” della Toccata Adagio e Fuga in Do Magg di Bach, il loro canto appassionato accompagna la preghiera del salmista in questo salmo 145 riprodotto interamente nel filmato:
